IWARelief and partners work to support communities in situations of health emergencies. We support the vaccination of people in response to disease outbreak such as yellow fever, Ebola. IWARelief Provides access to safe water as one of the most effective instruments in promoting health and reducing poverty. We help construct toilets and Latrines for local communities.
- IWARelief provides high quality training to make sure that personnel and Volunteers are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to manage disease outbreaks and other health emergencies. Thus responding fast and effectively in any health emergency to minimize the loss of life and suffering.
- We deploy teams of experts with diverse skills to support the government’s efforts to provide health services to affected areas, and send essential supplies and medicines. The incorporation of first aid kits, insecticide treated bed nets, and other health materials into IWARelief packages supports existing health promotion practices and promotes self-sufficiency and self-management for the affected populations.
- Where there are overwhelming needs for urgent and complex medical care; some patients may require local, regional or international medical evacuation in order to access adequate, life-saving medical care. In these cases IWARelief initiates medical evacuation programmes in collaboration with interested governments and partners and contributes to in-country capacity.
